I truly thought my marriage was over. We had even set a deadline and agreed to try counseling as a last effort. That decision made all the difference. Derek has helped us reconnect by acting as a translator and teaching us how to truly communicate with one another. He created a space where we could both feel heard and understood. Just want to take a minute to share our experience with our counselor Derek! He has been working with us (wife/I) for almost a year and has transformed our lives!!
Through all of the good times and rough times; he listened, advised, and provided strategies for us to work through our daily/weekly challenges. He was always impartial but would make us aware of our shortcomings in a professional manner and also held us accountable when necessary. DerekA would assists us in setting goals/action items so we would always continue to improve as individuals and also as a couple. We have come a long way since starting back in 2023 and wanted to share this with others!!! Derek is kind, caring, patient, but can quickly articulate all the information to keep discussions moving (and focused) even when things become challenging.
